When I first bought my website I was absolutely dumb founded. I did so much html in my youth, but was so lost with all of the different transitions in coding. I bought my domain to be used as a blog platform. I had, and I am still having such a hard time understanding what I am doing. When I found out that i could incorporate worpress right into my website, I was shocked and relieved. This made the entire journey so much easier. Not only that, it was incredibly easy to do. I wanted to write this article for those who are having the same difficulty as me. If I hadn't figured out how to do this, I am not sure I would have ever set up an actual blog. As of now my website is in very rough draft state: www.thisthatandeverythingelse.org - The look and fell of the entire thing will change drastically.

How To Install Wordpress.org Through Host Gator

Luckily, using host gator, it is very easy to instally worpress directly through your control panel. I am going to show you detailed steps how to do this.

First and most importantly, you need to make your way to your control panel. From here you need to locate "Software/Services", this should be near the very bottom. Click on the fantastico Icon, use the picture below for reference.

From there you will be taken into the home front for fantastico. Click on the word press link on the left, use the picture for reference.

Once inside, you will be prompted with a few different options for installation, click the "New Installation" option.

Once inside, you will need to fill out some information. Look at the picture below for a reference of what you need to put within the fields. "thisthatandeverythingelse.org" is my website, however, your own will be located within the dropdown.

What ever you choose to put in the admin username, and admin password field will be what you will use once you login to wordpress's platform.

After filling in the necessary info, click install.

Now, this is where the fun starts! When you go to your website, you will have a blank templet. How easy was that? You're now capable of blogging directly from wordpress onto your domain!

All you have to do to log in is type in:

whateveryourdomainis.com/wp-login.php, for example mine looks like this:

http://thisthatandeverythingelse.org/wp-login.php

Good luck guys! Any questions, I'd be happy to help.
